Jon is a modern-day renaissance man with a gift for connecting people, creating gatherings and spaces to exchange ideas, and contributing his expertise to help address some of the community’s greatest challenges. Professionally, Jon is a consultant, coach, facilitator, producer, and writer for organizations, people, and school systems.

Jon is a human-centric leader that believes in the concept of Ubuntu or “I am only a person through other persons.” Rooted in this belief, Jon has been attracted to many meaningful programs, organizations, and volunteer opportunities such as the Center for Intentional Leadership where he was a senior consultant for eight years; community service through Communities in Schools of Charlotte where he is the Chair of the Board of Directors; newest venture “Schools ReimaginED” in partnership with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools to invite students to give voice and choice in the development of a new educational model.

Jon is a change-maker and believes strongly in the cultivation of leaders and collaborators to solve the community’s largest problems. As the brainchild of the Making Room podcast, he is bringing this concept to life. He is also a lover of music, coffee shops and the outdoors along with his beloved pup Larry!
