Brandon is very active in civic and community endeavors on a national and local level. He is a native of Charlotte, where he currently resides with his wife, Kerbie, their daughter and son. Highly committed to education, the arts, urban development and other community matters, Brandon serves on a number of boards. Nationally, Brandon holds positions on the National Urban League Board of Trustees (vice-chair of development committee) and the Urban Libraries Council Executive Board (treasurer, executive committee). In Charlotte, he currently serves on several boards including the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library as its vice-chair, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Foundation, and the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art as its vice-chair.  Brandon also serves on the Duke Law Alumni Association Board where he is Immediate Past President.

In addition to his board service, he serves on the Community Advisory Council of PBS Charlotte and co-chair of Duke Alumni Association (Charlotte). In the past, Brandon has served as a co-chair of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce’s School Bonds Support Campaign, served as chair of the Unite Charlotte Advisory Council (United Way), served on the Men’s Shelter Charlotte’s Capital Campaign Cabinet, and is involved in numerous other community endeavors and fundraising activities.

Brandon graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School. He also holds his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina.  He is currently the senior vice president and deputy chief legal officer for a major healthcare organization based in Charlotte, N.C.
